Our Smoky Mountain campground makes a perfect base camp for your tour of the area. Stay with us while you go hiking on the Appalachian Trail, horseback riding in the Smoky Mountains, or caving at nearby Tuckaleechee Caverns.

Plan a day trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, America's most visited national park and the land of black bears, stunning scenery, and winding wooded trails. This is a great spot for fishing in the Little River, horseback riding, mountain biking, and wildflower viewing. And you can also plan a fun jeep, bike, or horse trip along the Cades Cove loop, viewing the historic pioneers' log cabins. Misty River got it's name from an old moonshiner who said when he made his brew from the water in the river and sampled some of it, the river would look all misty to him and the name stuck. The moonshine stills are long gone, but the river is still just as beautiful as ever.
