Douglas Dam Headwater Campground is located in Sevierville, TN on the TVA Douglas Reservoir in Sevier County. It is half a mile from the Douglas Dam Tailwater Campground. It takes about 7 minutes to travel from one campground to the other.

This is a very popular campground, offering a nice mixture of shade, grass, and awesome mountain and lake views. There is total of 65 campsites, with the exception of 4 primitive sites, they all have electric & water hook up and 2 sites meet ADA guidelines. The campground is separated into two sections, divided by an associated public boat ramp and parking lot. Twenty one sites, mostly waterfront are on the left side of the boat ramp, the remaining sites are situated up a hill to the right of the boat ramp. There are two bathhouses with warm water and flush toilets. A third bathhouse is under construction by TVA and is projected to open by mid summer 2015. All entry roads are paved, campsites are graveled and most are level. Most sites have a picnic table, fire pit or grill combo. A dump station is located in the campground for those who are camping at no charge.

Recreational Activities: Adjacent to the public boat ramp is also an associated day use and swim area with picnic tables, benches and landscaping. A walking trail has recently been completed by TVA across the road from the campground. This campground is in close proximity to the tourist areas of the Smokey Mountains, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Townsend.
